Still Wakes the Deep, the atmospheric horror game from the makers of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, has a new trailer and a June release date. First revealed at the Xbox Game Showcase last June, it centers on an oil rig worker fighting to survive against supernatural threats.

Developed by The Chinese Room, today’s Future Game Show provided a platform for a new trailer that serves as an effective tone-setting. Set in 1975, you play as an oil rig worker trapped on a deep-sea rig off the coast of Scotland. Communication was cut off, and an unknown fear gripped the device. In this first-person adventure, you must locate your crew as a mysterious threat chases you and raging seas gradually tear apart your rig. There are no weapons or special abilities, exploration is the name of the game.

Still Wakes the Deep launches on June 18th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will also be released on Game Pass for consoles and PC.

More details on The Chinese Room The studio is also taking over the reins of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, which is also scheduled for release this year. You can read more about what the studio has in store for its game here.
