A yellow school bus boldly emblazoned with “LAPOINTE” arrived at a loft-style building on New York’s Broadway, dropping off some of the most stylish models who could easily be classified as “It girls.”

In fact, the theme of designer Sally Lapointe’s latest Fall/Winter 24 RTW collection was going back to school and getting noticed as the “best dressed.” Based on the fashion-forward looks we saw on the runway, it’s definitely a mission you can accomplish.

Lapointe stayed true to her DNA, with a rich monochromatic palette and feather detailing seen on dresses, sleeves, and luxurious boleros. We also saw the incorporation of different textured fabrics to create a sense of transition from day to night.

While some may associate back-to-school wardrobe with uniforms and dress codes, La Pointe College promoted autonomy. This collection was also a stark reminder that to be remembered, you need to stand out.

In addition to classic colors like black and white, Lapointe turned heads with its fall/winter ’24 introduction of vibrant hues like neon green, baby blue, and peach.

Not only were the clothes sensational, but the accessories were also in keeping with the theme, including a studded and spiked backpack made in collaboration with New York jeweler Krishabana.
