Four-time NBA champion LeBron James said Sunday that he has no plans for a farewell, but is looking forward to the Paris Olympics and wants to end his playing days as a Los Angeles Laker.

James, 39, a superstar and four-time NBA Most Valuable Player, was selected to play in the 73rd NBA All-Star Game for a record 20th time at Indiana. I pondered the end of my career at Police.

“I haven’t made any plans yet about how many seasons I have left. I know it’s not going to be that many,” said James, who is in his 21st year in the NBA.

“I’m a Laker and I’ve been very happy to be a Laker for the past six years and I hope it stays that way forever. But I don’t have an answer as to how long that will be or what uniform I’ll wear. .

“I hope it’s with the Lakers. It’s a great organization and they have a lot of greats. But we’ll see. I don’t know how it’s going to end, but it’s going to end. It will definitely come.”

James said he wants to play in the NBA with his son, Bronny James, a standout freshman at the University of Southern California.

James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, is also undecided whether he will play a “farewell tour” season like legends like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, or simply retire.

“I’m 50-50,” he said. “Sometimes I feel like I owe it to my fans who have been on this journey with me for over 20 years. No matter what city, no matter what the situation, they give you the moments where they give you flowers. ‘or in any case. That’s cool.

“But on the other hand, I’ve never been very good at accepting praise. It’s a strange feeling for me.

“I’ve seen Mike, I’ve seen Kobe. I’ve seen a lot of guys. I just don’t know how to feel. I don’t know if it’s going to feel good.”

James helped organize the U.S. Olympic team’s defending champions in Paris this year, and plans to travel to France himself if healthy.

“I told myself before the season that I was committing to be a part of the Olympic team. Obviously, it was all predicated on my health,” James said. “At this time, I am healthy enough to join the team and perform at the level I knew I could perform.

“As for the postseason, we don’t know what’s going to happen. (Olympic extension) It’s 11 games, but it’s five and a half weeks, which means we’ll be able to get more miles on these tires.”

James isn’t as worried about carrying a team on his shoulders as he was when he was younger, striving for gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games and the 2012 London Games.

“I will give my heart, body and soul to Team USA and represent my country with the utmost respect,” James said.

“But one thing I know for sure is that I don’t have to carry any baggage. Of the three teams I’ve been on, I’ve never had to carry any baggage. I try to do my best and give my best performance as long as I’m on the floor during my playing time.

“Right now we don’t know what the full team is going to be, but I know I don’t have to feel any pressure to go out there and look at some of the names and feel like I have to lead the team.

“It will be a complete 12-man roster that can play offensively or defensively at any time against any country in the world.”

James received treatment for sore left ankle before the All-Star Game and will undergo further treatment during the All-Star break.

“I’m trying to get my ankle as strong as possible and get it back to a point where I feel confident that I can finish the last third of the season,” he said. “The most important thing for me is definitely my health.”
