Friday Faves 3.1 – The Fitnessista

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! What are your plans for this weekend? After four weeks in a row of trips to Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Diego, I returned to Phoenix this past weekend looking forward to yoga classes, family dinners, and a “nothing” weekend. Although it was a lot of fun, it would be nice to have a quiet weekend at home.

Last week’s adventure: I took Liv to see Olivia Rodrigo! This was one of her Christmas presents and she was looking forward to it. (It was a shame that the four of us couldn’t go, but it was a fight for our lives to get two tickets for her when the advance sale started!) P is a dad and his girlfriend with friends. We ventured to the bowling alley and arcade.

Olivia Rodrigo was absolutely amazing. I really like her voice and Liv is a big fan of hers. I was blown away by her talent, the quality of her production, and the dancers. I liked her more than Taylor Swift (don’t throw anything at me!)

We went with friends, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The rest of this week is full of things at home – I can’t wait to show you the final results – and school, dance, work, housework, and the usual hustle and bustle of life.

It’s time for your favorite party every Friday! Here we share some of our favorite finds from the week and around the web. I love hearing about your favorites too, so give your favorites a shout out in the comments section below.

Health + Fitness:

I installed a new CGM It was fun to explore and obtain new data. I wanted to see how it would react to the huge increase in beans in my life. I eat beans for lunch or dinner every day. CBO protocol! – and it remains stable. If you want to try NutriSense, I highly recommend it. It’s amazing to see how our bodies respond to food, exercise, sleep, and stress, and RD can help analyze data, provide tips, and run experiments.Check out my full post here Try it out using code GINA50 here.

(Sweet potato and chickpea tortillas were made using sweet potato and chickpea flour cooked in equal proportions. I seared them in a little coconut oil for 2-3 minutes on each side. Please make it with wet hands.)

Fashion + Beauty:

This Madewell dress! When I tried to get there the other day, it started pouring. Thankfully, spring is just around the corner.

February Reader Favorites. It’s always fun to go back through my analysis and see which products I’ve loved the most this month that I’ve shared on the blog.

Here are our top picks for February:

This nap dress camo. I have the tan color but would like another color.

The best retainer cleaner. This is required if you wear Invisalign or retainers. It’s much cheaper than some versions and works very well. It’s small enough for traveling.

This shoe spray. This is my holy grail of sneakers (especially for kids). I also used it on my ribbed white print backpack before school started and it still looks like new.

This little rebounder. It’s a super fun way to support your lymphatic system and I love jumping for 5-10 minutes every day.

This is a square neck dress. The perfect mom swimsuit.

These slides are amazingly neutral and perfect for spring/summer.

This comfy robe.

These jogger pants are perfect for everyday life and travel.

These heart earrings.

This dress comes in a variety of gorgeous colors.
