Commitment Breakdown: Rivals100 2025 OL Carter Rowe chooses Ohio State –

Ohio Recruitment activities continue to be active.

That’s because 2025 four-star offensive lineman Carter Rowe announced his commitment to the program on Saturday. Lowe chose the in-state Buckeyes over a final group that included: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and tennessee. Mr. Rowe is 7th Promise for the Class of 2025 For coach Ryan Day’s program. He is the first offensive lineman in the class.

What the Buckies are getting

Whitmer, from Toledo (Ohio), has great size at 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds. After hitting the weight room in college, he has plenty of room to add decent weight and muscle mass, which will only make him even better. Lowe is very physical on offense and has a good first punch.

What makes him even more promising is his potential for positional versatility. He is currently a leading tackler and could remain that spot in college. But he’s confident in the plays he pulls, suggesting he can slide inside and guard if needed at Ohio State. Lowe is more fluid as a run blocker than a pass protector, but he will improve in college.

Why is this important to Ohio State?

Offensive line is a big need for the Buckeyes in the 2025 recruiting class. Therefore, acquiring Rivals100 leads early in the cycle is critical for your program. Lowe is Ohio State’s top offensive line prospect in the 2025 cycle, so it shows the Buckeyes are prioritizing in-state talent that is important to them.

Lowe is the biggest target Offensive line coach Justin Frye For last year. Things really took off last June when Lowe came to Columbus to work with Frye at a one-day recruiting camp in Ohio. That evolved into three separate game-day visits for him during the 2023 season. Lowe and his family also visited campus for Junior Day this month.

How the recruiting effort unfolded is indicative of the Buckeyes’ ability to identify and approach priority targets at desired positions.
