Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph French Limited Edition

Today we would like to briefly introduce the latest models from the Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph collection. Since 1988, Chopard has participated in Mille Miglia events. However, this latest creation leaves Italy to celebrate another automotive event. The French limited edition will be exhibited at the Salon Rétromobile in Paris and will be available in France.

I first used a Chopard Mille Miglia chronograph about 20 years ago. I was visiting a supplier near Berlin in the summer and met with the company for dinner at their hotel. My contact brought in the CEO of the company. He had just signed the contract after leaving the German automaker as a senior executive. He did well and I commented on his golden Mille Miglia. He said this was a special edition offered to those who drove to the event. His car? Yes, it was a Porsche 550 RS Spyder. Thankfully, you don’t have to own and drive a seven-figure classic car to buy today’s new French Limited Edition. It’s good because it looks cute.

Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph France Limited Edition

The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph France Limited Edition is limited to 100 pieces. Chopard will present the watch at the Salon Rétromobile in Paris from January 31st to February 4th. This chronograph is made entirely from Lucent (80% recycled) stainless steel and measures 40.5 mm wide, 48.17 mm long, and 12.8 mm thick. Inside, you’ll find a blue tachymeter track, a silver-white dial, and red details that pay homage to the French flag. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures visibility, while a navy calfskin rally strap and steel pin buckle securely secure the watch on your wrist.

As for the movement, the chronometer-certified 4Hz ETA A322-11 is on display through the screw-down caseback. This caliber has a power reserve of approximately 54 hours, a quick-set date, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour register. In terms of water resistance, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph is safe up to a depth of 50 meters. Chopard did a great job with the pushers and crown. These are automotive themed, but the execution is much more subtle than the older models. The pushers remind you of the brake pedal, and the raised crown has an embossed steering wheel.

Thoughts and availability

Overall, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph France Limited Edition is a nice looking chronograph. I like the fact that Chopard toned this watch down compared to previous versions and opted for a more classic look. I’m also a fan of the understated Mille Miglia logo. Finally, this watch should not make interested fans feel as if they need to own a classic car to purchase this watch. But unfortunately, you have to travel to France to buy these models. Be sure to bring it with you if you are traveling. 10,400 euros Here’s your chance to win one of these individually numbered pieces.
