On March 21, 1999, balloonists Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones embarked on a daring journey to become the first to fly non-stop around the world in a hot air balloon. After a 45,633km voyage spanning 19 days, 21 hours and 47 minutes, it landed in the Egyptian desert, setting new records for the longest flight in terms of both distance and flight time. This achievement was the culmination of numerous attempts by different teams and was hailed as the last great flying challenge of the 20th century.

The Aerospace B70 Orbiter, which will launch on March 21, 2024, exactly 25 years after its historic flight, is a testament to this incredible journey. With a bright orange dial that mirrors the color of the Orbiter 3 capsule, this watch features some of the original balloon fabric visible through the transparent case back. This detail, along with the Breitling Orbiter 3 Mission logo and monumental inscription, makes each watch a piece of living history.

I’ve continued,” he said. The Aerospace B70 Orbiter is a historic piece of the past, as well as demonstrating Breitling’s unwavering dedication to innovation and vision for the future of aviation.
