  • all purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • white granulated sugar
  • Evaporated milk (ordinary milk also works)
  • melted butter
  • vanilla extract

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and salt and sprinkle over flour mixture. Do not stir. Just sprinkle. Boil 1/2 cup water and pour over all ingredients. Do not stir.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes. Brown top under broiler for the last few minutes.

If using frozen blueberries, there is no need to thaw them. There may be a lot of juice because it’s frozen, but that’s not a problem. It will still be delicious!
