1 killed, 9 injured as shots fired during Chiefs’ SB parade [Updated]

kansas city police Confirmed KSHB-TV 41’s report. There were 10 shooting victims, including children, at the end of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII parade on Wednesday.

Five of the victims were taken to University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Keith King, the company’s managing communications director, said:

One person was killed, according to KSHB-TV 41’s Caitlin Knut.

“Multiple people were injured in a shooting near a garage on the west side of Union Station,” Kansas City police said in a statement. X official account Posted at 3:14 PM ET. “We have detained two gunmen for further investigation.

KCPD first reported the shooting at 3:02 p.m.

Police detained people inside Union Station while officers cleared the area and tried to determine the number of shooting victims. All were then released.

NFL Network correspondent James Palmer said media were asked to go under the stage and were escorted from the station. News-Press sports director Jacob Michael also confirmed that military personnel were involved in the response to the Union Hall shooting.

KSHB-TV41 Reporter Daniela Leon tweeted a photo of an unidentified person in handcuffs.

About 1 million parade participants and 600 law enforcement officers were expected to participate in Wednesday’s celebration. According to ABC News.
